BuiltRad Co.

Privacy Policy

BuiltRad Co. ("BuiltRad," "we," "us," or "our") operates the San Diego Home Project Builder at builtradcompany.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you browse the site or submit a project request.

1. Information we collect

We collect only information that is reasonably useful for operating the project-intake and connection service, including:

2. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you browse the site, complete the builder, upload a file, contact us, or request a privacy action. We may also receive limited technical information from hosting, security, analytics, email, and other service providers that help us operate the Service.

3. How we use information

We may use the information described above to:

4. Referral connection and sharing

When you submit a project, you authorize BuiltRad to use and share the project details and contact information you provided with a licensed local professional selected to respond to your request. We aim to make a focused connection rather than distribute your request to an unlimited list of companies.

BuiltRad is not the contractor and does not perform, supervise, estimate, price, negotiate, contract for, or collect payment for construction or design work. The licensed professional is a separate business. Once your information is shared with that professional, that professional is responsible for its own handling of your information and its own privacy practices.

We do not sell homeowner information to unrelated parties. We do not use uploaded property photos in marketing without separate permission.

5. Project summaries, photos, and transient handling

The builder does not create a homeowner account or a public project listing. During an active session, project answers and uploaded photos may be held in your browser, in server memory, or in temporary runtime storage as needed to create the project PDF. Photos are embedded in the PDF handoff rather than exposed through permanent public photo URLs.

After successful PDF generation and delivery, temporary photo data and active-session project data are discarded as part of the intake flow. BuiltRad may retain the generated PDF, delivery record, and related communications for manual review, routing, support, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We do not promise that an email attachment or a copy retained by a responding professional will be deleted on the same schedule as the active session.

6. Service providers

We may use service providers such as hosting, security, PDF processing, email delivery, analytics, and error-monitoring providers. They may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide services to BuiltRad, maintain security, or comply with law. We do not provide them with permission to use homeowner project information for their own unrelated marketing.

7. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

The Service may use necessary browser storage or temporary cookies to preserve builder progress, support navigation, protect against abuse, and remember basic preferences. Uploaded photo binaries are not intentionally stored in browser localStorage. We may use limited, privacy-conscious analytics or technical logs to understand aggregate traffic, errors, device type, referral source, and step abandonment. We do not send full street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, private notes, or photo contents to general advertising analytics tools unless we first determine that the use is necessary, lawful, and appropriately configured.

Browsers may offer Do Not Track or similar settings. Because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting every such signal, our response may depend on the technology in use. We will update this policy if our tracking practices materially change.

8. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including completing a requested connection, maintaining the project PDF and delivery record, responding to requests, resolving disputes, protecting the Service, and meeting legal or accounting obligations. Retention may vary by the type of record and whether it is held by BuiltRad, a service provider, an email system, or a licensed professional.

9. California privacy choices

California privacy laws may give eligible residents rights to know what personal information is collected and how it is used or shared, request deletion or correction, opt out of sale or sharing where applicable, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive equal service for exercising privacy rights. BuiltRad does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a privacy request, email ryan@builtradcompany.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Please include enough information for us to locate the correct record. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we retain, subject to lawful exceptions and the need to preserve records held by a licensed professional or service provider.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including HTTPS, access controls, rate limiting, validation, and transient file handling where supported by the implementation. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive information that is not necessary to describe a home project.

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means the revised policy will apply to future use.
